God Live In Us!

To encourage improvement in Literacy and Numeracy skills in students between the age of 12 and 15 years and to develop independence in our students learning.  This program aims to reconnect and empower the students to achieve success, both academic and personal.

Our Curriculum is designed to encourage improvement in students Literacy and Numeracy skills and to develop independence in our students learning.

Literacy and Numeracy skills are assessed and each individual student's needs are catered for. Students complete a set number of skills sessions in these areas each week.

Independent learning is facilitated through project based learning where students negotiate project work with teachers, and this is reviewed regularly with parents as well. Each student can negotiate project work around areas of interest to them and can incorporate Literacy and Numeracy components into their work. In their projects students are encouraged to use a range of skills in researching and presenting their work with an emphasis on using technology and multi-media as well as traditional methods.

Student choice and responsibility is encouraged as a way of developing each child's confidence and engagement in their learning
